A complimentary one-night stay at Chandmana Erdene—including tailored experiences and in country round-trip transfers—for you or a team member (best employee or someone needing a mental health boost), where you/they can witness firsthand the impact of your support and meet the project leaders
Your sponsorship of US$ 1,800 will help build the greenhouse that will be a cornerstone of Chandmana Erdene’s sustainability education programmes. Your support will give our female students practical skills in nutrition and sustainable agriculture—empowering them with tools for self-reliance and alternative income opportunities.
High-Quality Greenhouse
A 20 × 6-metre structure made from premium Korean materials, built to withstand Mongolia’s harsh climate and last five to six growing seasons—far longer than cheaper alternatives.
Vegetable Garden
An adjoining vegetable garden that creates an additional hands-on learning space for sustainable agriculture and nutrition practices.
While Mongolia’s diet is traditionally meat-based, urbanisation and tourism have increased the demand for fresh vegetables. Women-led market gardening is a growing opportunity. This greenhouse and garden will:
Provide hands-on training in sustainable agriculture, nutrition, and menu planning.
Equip women with marketable skills for income generation.
Support women in growing food for their own families or community ger camps.
We aim to add photovoltaic panels, taking advantage of Mongolia’s 260 days of sunshine each year to create a bioclimatic greenhouse that minimises frost risk, reduces wind damage, and optimises growing conditions.
Help power the future of Chandmana Erdene. While our long-term goal is to transition to renewable energy sources such as solar photovoltaic panels, immediate access to the national grid is essential for our initial operations. Your investment of US$ 3,000 will make this possible.
Connection to the National Grid
A reliable energy supply for our launch phase, forming the foundation for future renewable upgrades.
Energy-Efficient Design Implementation
Integration of sustainable building designs and materials—developed in collaboration with Iso Haus—that reduce energy use, with smaller floor areas and strategic placement of high occupancy areas near natural lighting and ventilation.
From day one, Chandmana Erdene will operate as a model of efficiency and environmental responsibility. By combining early access to the grid with energy-conscious building and passive design techniques—natural light, ventilation, passive solar heating, and cooling—we lower operational costs and set the stage for a smooth renewable transition.
Step into the role of sponsoring the construction of a purpose-built root/earth cellar at Chandmana Erdene. Your support of US$ 3,000 will help us enhance the self-sufficiency of our centere, allowing us to store food securely and sustainably, contributing to the long-term success and independence of our training programme
What You’re Funding
Purpose-Built Root/Earth Cellar
A professionally constructed cellar, tailored to Mongolia’s climate and designed to extend the shelf life of vegetables and other food items. This will provide our students with reliable access to nutritious meals while reducing dependence on external suppliers.
Food security is central to sustainability. The root/earth cellar will:
Enable safe, long-term food storage.
Reduce waste and reliance on outside food sources.
Provide an educational tool for female students to learn about sustainable food systems, seasonal eating, and reducing food footprints.
By supporting this project, you help Chandmana Erdene operate more efficiently and responsibly while providing women with knowledge and practical skills.
The fence at Chandmana Erdene is both a practical necessity and a symbol of identity. It safeguards the training centre, protects our community green space from grazing livestock, and defines the area, creating a clear sense of place and belonging within its boundaries.
Custom Mongolian Metal Fence
A durable, locally crafted metal fence, designed to harmonise with both the cultural and natural landscape of the Orkhon Valley.
Secure Gate with Traditional Ulzii Pattern
The entrance gate will feature the traditional Ulzii pattern — a Mongolian symbol of eternity and protection, commonly used across the country. This design honours cultural heritage while reinforcing Chandmana Erdene’s identity.
While US$4,500 may seem like a significant investment for a fence, it’s important to recognise that high-quality, locally made infrastructure requires this level of funding. This investment guarantees both durability and sustainability, while directly supporting local craftsmanship. As well as being a boundary, the fence stands as a symbol of protection and cultural pride
Donations of between US$ 5,000 – US$10,000

Your contribution of US$ 5,000 will help to fund a transformative training programme for Mongolian women, developed in partnership with the Mongolian Professional Tour Guides Association. This ongoing course framework is designed to equip women with the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to succeed in the tourism industry, fostering leadership and autonomy while preserving Mongolia’s rich cultural heritage.
Co-Designed Curriculum: Our training programme will be developed in close collaboration with our current team of female guides. By involving these experienced professionals, we ensure that the programme is relevant, practical, and rooted in the real needs and aspirations of local women.
Mentorship and Leadership Development: We believe in the power of mentorship. Your sponsorship will help us create leadership roles within Chandmana Erdene, allowing established tour guides to mentor and guide new trainees, fostering a strong sense of community and support.
Modular Certification Programme: In collaboration with the Mongolian Professioanl Tour Guides Association, we will develop a modular certification programme that includes realistic and attainable training goals. The programme will be a blend of self-paced learning, hands-on practical activities, and interactive sessions, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging educational experience.
Empowerment through Education: Your funding will empower women with the confidence and skills needed to take on leadership roles and pursue meaningful careers in tourism.
Economic Opportunities: By gaining valuable certifications and practical experience, these women will be better equipped to secure employment and improve their livelihoods.
Cultural Preservation: The programme ensures that participants are not only trained in modern tourism practices but are also deeply connected to and respectful of Mongolia’s cultural heritage.
Your contribution of US$ 7,200 will support the construction of an artesian well at Chandmana Erdene — addressing critical water needs while advancing sustainable water management. This project will ensure reliable access to clean water, enable efficient operations, and teach our female students the importance of conservation. By combining the well with rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling, Chandmana Erdene will set a benchmark for sustainability while significantly reducing its environmental footprint.
Artesian Well
A professionally bored well, estimated at 80–100 metres deep, providing a sustainable water supply for the centre while safeguarding the surrounding community’s water table.
Rainwater Harvesting
Rain barrels under downspouts and gutters will collect water for irrigating grass, vegetables, and shrubs—reducing reliance on the well.
Greywater Recycling
Greywater systems will reuse water for non-potable needs, conserving resources and further lowering environmental impact.
Drinkable Water System
In partnership with Iso Haus, all drinking and sanitary water will meet WHO standards. For guests preferring alternatives, 20-litre dispensers will be available, with containers responsibly recycled after use.
Water scarcity is a pressing global issue, and Mongolia is no exception. An artesian well at Chandmana Erdene will:
Secure reliable, safe water for daily operations.
Reduce demand on community resources through sustainable design.
Provide female students with hands-on education in responsible water use.
By funding this project, you’ll help Chandmana Erdene model sustainable water management while empowering women with knowledge that can be applied in their homes, communities, and future businesses.
Your contribution of US$ 9,000 will help transform the land surrounding Chandmana Erdene into a thoughtfully designed outdoor space that balances functionality and community. This area will serve as a community green space, fostering environmental education, cultural exchange, and sustainable practices.
Parking and Bicycle Facilities
A designated parking area with a covered zone and bicycle racks, plus mountain bikes available for guests to use free of charge.
Shaded Patio and Walkways
A shaded patio with seating and a small fire pit for communal gatherings. Walkways and patio areas will use open-grid paving to reduce environmental impact, absorb rainwater, and help retain groundwater.
Shared Green Space
Preservation of existing grass and vegetation, with removed topsoil repurposed for landscaping. This area will host community gardening and environmental education activities.
Native Tree and Shrub Planting
Planting of resilient native species such as seabuckthorn and willow to act as windbreaks and stabilise soil. We will collaborate with local experts such as the Gobi Oasis Tree Planting Project for selection and care.
Night Sky Conservation
Installation of motion-sensor solar lights to ensure safe pathways while reducing light pollution and protecting Mongolia’s stunning night skies.
Your support will create an outdoor space that is sustainable, functional, and welcoming — a place for learning, gathering, and connecting with nature. It will serve as a model of responsible land use and help to strengthen Chandmana Erdene’s sense of community.
Be part of lasting change by sponsoring a traditional seven-sided ger that will serve as a temporary teaching space at Chandmana Erdene. While we work towards building permanent ISO Haus facilities, your contribution of US$8,500 will provide a fully furnished ger—ready to welcome students into a safe and inspiring environment for learning.
Seven-Sided Ger: A collapsible felt dwelling, known worldwide as a “yurt” but in Mongolia as a ger—crafted using traditional methods and designed to withstand the country’s extreme climate.
Furnishings: Essential interior fittings to create a functional, comfortable space where women can gather, learn, and grow.
By funding a teaching ger, you are giving Chandmana Erdene an immediate base to launch training programs—helping women gain vital skills, confidence, and opportunities to build stronger futures.

Community Engagement: A venue for ceremonies, cultural gatherings, and concerts, strengthening bonds within the community.
Empowering Seasonal Ger Camps: As urbanisation accelerates, Ulaanbaatar faces severe winter pollution, disproportionately affecting children. These camps offer families clean-air retreats from winter pollution while providing women with sustainable income opportunities.
Traditional Craftsmanship: Built by skilled local artisans using traditional techniques, materials, and culturally significant decorative motifs.
